Text Box: This small flower is my first original design for cross-stitch. I made it directly on graph paper in 1970 – age 16. I started cross-stitching work in primary and continued through elementary as part of curriculum activities of public school in Romania(1961-73;at the time compulsory education was 12 years)

Text Box: This apron was entirely executed during manual work classes in the elementary(age 12)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Text Box: For this tablecloth I adapted the floral cross-stitch pattern of the apron; silk thread on linen-age 14. This was not a school project but my own. Needle work using silk thread is not easy and I had to put lots of patience to accomplish it.

Text Box: My own cross-stitch pattern design with dianthus - silk thread on heavy linen. Age 16. I used this hand/shoulder bag for more than 10 years. It took me one summer vacation to finish this bag. It has a satin lining and a zipper.
